Paul O’Connell’s career with Toulon was over before it even began.
Toulon as a result have been searching for a second row to replace the former Munster fan and it seems they’ve got their man. It may come of a bit how a shock however to read that the Top 14 giants have turned to Scotland’s Grant Gilchrist.
French outlet La Provence have reported today that the Edinburgh lock will sign for Toulon this summer, however they were unclear as to the specifics of the contract. While an accomplished International it does come as a surprise that for once Toulon have not looked to sign a superstar.
