Luke Fitzgerald just can’t catch a break.
The utility back faces more time on the treatment table after scans revealed he will miss Ireland’s entire RBS Six nations campaign with a knee injury that he suffered in training. Fitzgerald’s entire career has been plagued with injury since he broke into the International scene at just 18.
Fitzgerald revealed his disappointment but insisted he still feels like ‘a lucky guy’ despite his misfortune and is looking forward to finishing strong with Leinster in the PRO12.
Tough getting injured in training-feels like time robbed. In the grand scheme, still a lucky guy, despite appearances to the contrary.
