Sonny Bill Williams is already a hero in everyone’s eyes after a series of classy gestures following the All Blacks’ recent World Cup triumph, but those pale in comparison to the work he is currently doing in the Middle East.
Sonny is currently in Lebanon, visiting refugee camps filled with those fleeing the ongoing violence in Syria, and the big centre made a big impression on those he met at the Faida settlement in the Bekaa Valley.
Williams, a Unicef ambassador, also visited a local vaccination centre and spent time talking and playing with the children in the camp and it’s fair to say they made a big impression on him as well.
