After all the turmoil of 2013-14, we could be in for another period of change in European club rugby.
Former England hooker Brian Moore says that he has heard rumours that Bath owner Bruce Craig is in Ireland and is discussing the possibility that his club jump ship to the PRO12.
Tom McCormack, the communications manager at the Pro12, has said that they are holding no discussions with Bruce Craig about this or anything else but Moore claims his information is well sourced.
The Premiership confirmed last week that two clubs were being investigated for breaching the league salary cap. In the wake of this announcement, several clubs, including Sale and Wasps, have come out and declared that they are not currently under investigation.
Bath have not done so. Their owner Bruce Craig is apparently dismayed at the failure of the league to stop clubs making statements.
Bath have long opposed the salary cap and called for it to be scrapped as recently as May.
According to the Daily Mail rugby correspondent Chris Foy, Craig envisions a European Super League at some point in the future.
