Switch.
Former Ireland, Leinster and Lions centre Brian O’Driscoll has casually revealed on Twitter that he could have switched codes back in 2005 and played Rugby League.
The 40-year-old tweeted a clip of an incredible NRL try from back in 1980s by the Bulldogs, with League legend Jonathan Davies then chiming in to ask the Irishman if he ever thought about making the switch.
O’Driscoll says Warrington Wolves were in touch back in 2005 about making the switch and teaming up with legendary Australian league player Andrew “Joey” Johns.
Thankfully for Leinster and Ireland – O’Driscoll wasn’t tempted in the end.
This try is insane! Don’t remember it live. 👏 https://t.co/8vJxOVfGMc
