New signing.
Outgoing Wasps fullback Willie le Roux has agreed a deal with Japanese club Toyota Verblitz, coached by former Springboks boss Jake White.
It was announced a few months back that the 29-year-old will leave Dai Young’s side at the end of the season, and it’s now been confirmed he’ll be plying his trade in Japan’s Top League after the Rugby World Cup, which will also be hosted in Japan.
Le Roux has been with Wasps since 2017 and is one of a number of key players set to depart the Ricoh at the end of the season, with England internationals Nathan Hughes and Elliot Daly set to join Bristol and Saracens respectively.
Le Roux does have previous experience in Japan having represented the Canon Eagles from 2015 through to 2017.
