The road to recovery.
Leinster and Ireland centre Robbie Henshaw is recovering much quicker than originally expected, after undergoing shoulder surgery back in February.
Henshaw landed awkwardly after scoring in Ireland’s Six Nations win over Italy, with many people fearing he might not play another game this season.
But Leinster have now revealed Henshaw is expected back in around two weeks time, and he could even feature in their Champions Cup semi-final against the Scarlets.
“Speaking with the lads who’ve been working with Robbie over the last few weeks, they’ve been hugely impressed with how fast he’s gotten to the stage he’s at,” said Leinster scrum coach John Fogarty yesterday.
“They’re talking very positively about Robbie right now, which is really really good.”
While the Scarlets game is probably a bit of a push, it’s fantastic to here that he will likely be back if Leinster make the final, and should feature in the business end of the PRO14 too, should the eastern province progress through the play-offs.
