Celtic battle.
Ireland head into this weekend’s Six Nations clash with Scotland on Saturday, knowing they could be crowned champions by the end of the day.
But in their way stand a formidable Scotland side, brimming with confidence after their Calcutta Cup win over neighbours England at Murrayfield. Gregor Townsend’s men will be no pushovers, but Ireland are the team to beat this year.
Today’s latest squad update from the Irish camp was a positive one. While Joe Schmidt is set to be without Chris Farrell for the game, he’s set to be boosted by the returns of Lions Iain Henderson and Tadhg Furlong.
Garry Ringrose has also returned to full fitness, and looks set to partner Bundee Aki for the first time in an exciting centre combination. Ireland’s third different partnership in as many games.
All things considered here’s the Ireland team we feel must start against Scotland.
