Jesus what a game of rugby.
Ireland are still on course for Grand Slam showdown with England at Twickenham on Paddy’s Day, after dispatching of Wales with a try-bonus win at the Aviva Stadium this afternoon.
Wales struck first early in the first-half with a Leigh Halfpenny penalty, before Johnny Sexton put Jacob Stockdale in the corner just minutes later. Wales then responded with a try of their own, before Bundee Aki gave Ireland the lead just before half-time.
Ireland then came out firing in the second-half, with two tries in the first fifteen minutes to secure the bonus-point.
Wales fought back though, with two tries of their own. But Ireland had the last laugh as Jacob Stockdale sprinted in for his second, after a well-read intercept.
Cracking game of rugby. Full-time Ireland 35-27 Wales
