What a bloody waste.
Wallabies star Karmichael Hunt has been charged with possessing drugs after police arrested him in Brisbane, reports say. The utility back was detained on Saturday, along with another man, after being found with a white powder, ABC reported.
He has been charged with two counts of drug possession. It’s not the first time hunt has been in trouble, in 2015 he received a six-week suspension and a A$30,000 fine for cocaine possession.
In a statement, Rugby Australia (RA) said it had been “made aware of an incident involving Wallabies and Queensland Reds back Karmichael Hunt in Brisbane”.
“Rugby Australia takes all matters relating to the off-field behaviour of its players seriously and has commenced an investigation into the incident in conjunction with the Queensland Rugby Union,” it added.
Hunt recently signed a new two-year deal with the ARU and has become an integral member of Michael Cheika’s Wallabies squad.
