Cyclops.
Bath were unable to continue their excellent start to the season last night as they came crashing down with 24-6 defeat to Northampton Saints at Franklin’s Gardens.
A brace from young South African lock David Ribbans and scores from Lions Courtney Lawes and George North delivered the bonus point for Mallinder’s Saints, who have won their last two after an embarrassing defeat to Saracens on the opening day.
Bath were seriously unlucky on the night with injuries on the night as Matt Garvey went off with a calf injury while Kahn Fotuali’i and Premiership debutant Sam Underhill both went off with head injuries.
Perhaps the nastiest injury of the night however, was picked up by winger Matt Banahan who required stiches after a nasty eye injury. The look on his son’s face says it all.
I love rugby especially the day after, at least J doesn't care #Cyclopes pic.twitter.com/4zLJZelevl
