The rugby family has come together in several remarkable shows of respect, and brotherhood, in recent days, in the wake of Anthony Foley’s tragic passing.
Ulster are another side that know what it’s like to lose one of your own. Nevin Spence tragically lost his life in 2012 following a farming accident. Back the, the rugby world joined them in unison and last night, Ulster repaid the favour by bellowing the Fields of Athenry in memory of late Munster coach Anthony Foley.
Following an impeccably observed minutes’ silence before Ulster’s Champions Cup game with Exeter Chiefs, the match kicked off and the singing almost immediately followed.
A special moment.
Spine-tingling noise inside the Kingspan Stadium as @UlsterRugby fans pay their own tribute to Anthony Foley.👏 https://t.co/kydyy5pMHF
