Pas vrai.
We brought you the news yesterday that Toulon are set for an Aussie clearout this summer with Drew Mitchell set to not be offered a new deal when his contract expires at the end of the season and Matt Giteau set to hang up his boots.
The reports were led by French publication, Midi Olympique, who suggested that the French giants are also set to complete the signing of England winger Chris Ashton and All Black Israel Dogg to compensate for the loss of Mitchell and Giteau.
Matt Giteau however, has since come out with a simple two word response- pas vrai, translated to English meaning, not true. Giteau has been at the center of a dispute between club and country in the last 12 months with Toulon and Australia with his latest injury setback coming as a result of a Rugby Championship game with the All Blacks.
It now appears however, even at 34, Giteau will indeed continue at least for another year.
