Deliberate?
Munster’s James Cronin could be in serious trouble after video footage emerged of him appearing to stamp Leinster’s Jamison Gibson-Park in yesterday’s inter-pro clash at the Aviva.
The Munster loosehead can be seen in the video below attempting to rake the Leinster scrumhalf as he lays on the wrong side of a ruck. The rake resulted in a nasty stamp on the New Zealand halfback and may result in a citing for the prop.
The incident went unnoticed by any match officials but a citing is likely and could see the Munster man pick up a ban and at the very least miss Munster’s crucial opening Champions Cup game against Racing 92 next weekend.
