Injury blow.
It’s been rather difficult season for Ulster Rugby both on and off the pitch and they’ve just been dealt a further blow with two huge injuries to their backline.
Luke Marshall (knee) and Louis Ludik (hamstring) will miss most of next season after suffering serious injuries in last weekend’s Champions Cup play-off win over Ospreys.
This is devastating news for a side who are already down to their bare bones in terms of their backline. Tommy Bowe, Andrew Trimble and Paul Marhsall have all retired, Charles Piutau is off to Bristol, while Paddy Jackson and Stuart Olding had their contracts revoked earlier this year.
To make matters worse – the only backline addition confirmed for next season is Irish-qualified Will Addison who will join from Sale Sharks. Ulster seriously need some reinforcements for next season, and fast.
