Welcome to the Premiership.
Leicester Tigers got off to the perfect start under new interim head coach Geordan Murphy yesterday, securing a 49-33 bonus-point win over Newcastle in front of their home crowd at Welford road.
Former boss Matt O’Connor was surprisingly given the boot earlier this week after just one game in charge this season – a humiliating 40-6 defeat at Sandy Park.
While Tigers may have up with a much needed win, a few of their players will no doubt be a little worse for wear today. Newcastle are know for being a hugely physical side – just ask youngster Jordan Olowofela.
He felt the sheer brute force of Falcons scrumhalf Sonatane Takulua late in the game with this monstrous fend. Ouch.
