Bare bones.
Eddie Jones and England have been dealt a further blow ahead of next month’s Autumn International Series with news that Saracens duo Maki Vunipola and Nick Isiekwe have both been ruled out.
Prop Vunipola tore his calf in Saracens’ win over Glasgow and will be out for six weeks, while lock Isiekwe has an ankle problem that will keep him out for eight weeks.
The pair join a long list of absentees including the likes of Billy Vunipola, Joe Launchbury, Sam Simmonds, Dan Robson, Anthony Watson, Chris Robshaw and Nathan Hughes, who are all set to miss out next month. Joe Marler also recently announced his international retirement.
As things stand Jones will be without 16 players for England’s games against New Zealand, South Africa and Australia.
