Toulouse Don’t Sound Very Confident Ahead Of Their Game With Munster

Toulouse aren’t exactly brimming with confidence ahead of their Champions Cup quarter final clash with Munster.
The French giants travel to Limerick tomorrow to take on Munster in Thomond Park with coach Ugo Mola admitting they have little hope heading into the tie.
“We’re not in denial. Our league difficulties haven’t put us in the best shape to contest a European Champions Cup quarter-final,” coach Ugo Mola told The42
The way we’ve played these last few weeks obviously leaves little hope for the final result.
Centre Florian Fritz shared much of the same sentiments as the coach.
“We need to produce a lot more than we have been recently because Munster are a calibre above.”
“And if we don’t manage to up our game, we can hope for nothing over there.”
“It’s difficult, we’re unable to impose our game. It’s tough to see Toulouse 10th in the league and now, it would be a miracle to qualify for the play-offs,” added Fritz.
Fritz’s centre partner Gael Fickou however, who starred in the Six Nations, is a little bit more optimistic.
“Honestly, if we looked at what we’ve done the last two months, we’d tell ourselves there’s no point going there,” said Fickou.
But that’s not rugby — everything’s possible and on our day we can do it.
“Maybe from the outside you don’t believe but we know we’re capable of doing it.”
