The Latest On Murray & Stander’s Fitness Ahead Of Munster’s Champions Cup Semi-Final

Rassie Erasmus has issued an injury update ahead of this weekend’s clash with Ulster, with one eye on their Champions Cup semi-final in two weeks.

CJ Stander limped off with an ankle problem in the quarter final win over Toulouse and is a doubt for the semi-final clash with Saracens, with Erasmus admitting he probably won’t be available for their PRO12 fixture with Ulster on Saturday.

But Erasmus is hopeful that Conor Murray will return for the inter-pro clash with Ulster at Thomond Park, having missed the last number of weeks with a shoulder injury picked up while playing for Ireland.

I don’t think CJ will be ready next week, we are hoping but maybe not; Conor we will have to wait for, he hasn’t got full power back yet but we will see how he is later in the week.”

Tyler Bleyendaal is picked up a concussion early on in Saturday’s win over Glasgow and will go through the regular return to play protocol.

“Normal concussion, he is now going through the normal procedure,” Erasmus said.

Donnacha Ryan also picked up a Concussion in Cork and will also follow return to play protocols. James Cronin requires a scan for a knee injury sustained in the same fixture.
