Sam Burgess just can’t catch a break.

Seven News are reporting that the NRL are refusing to register Burgess because his deal will see the club exceed the maximum wage cap for 2016.

That means that in order for Burgess to be allowed play, some of his current teammates are going to have to be released.

Dylan Walker is the first to be sacrificed with a year left on his contract but it appears that Burgess’s arrival will put lots of noses out of joint.
