2018 is a year Irish Rugby will never forget for a number of reasons. They kicked things off with an incredible Six Nations Grand Slam that saw them defeat both France and England away from home, before going on to secure a series win in Australia for the first time in nearly forty years.
They then went on to complete a second successive November series clean sweep, including a famous win over current world champions New Zealand at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
Joe Schmidt’s side are now very much one of the very best teams in the world right now, and begin 2019 as one of the leading contenders to win the Rugby World Cup in Japan.
And with the 2019 Six Nations less than a month away, Ronan O’Gara will appear in a special documentary this weekend looking back on last year’s famous win. Sunday night, 9pm, Virgin Media One. This is not to be missed.
