Man down.
Eddie Jones’ Rugby World Cup 2019 plans have been thrown into further disarray with news that he’s set to lose another member of his senior coaching staff.
Paul Gustard left his role as Defence Coach with England to take the top job at Harlequins over the summer, while Rory Teague left his role as Skills and Attack Coach back in May.
And now according to The Times, Dean Benton is to move on from his post as head of sports science, leaving Jones looking for a replacement little more than a year before the World Cup in Japan next year.
The RFU are still looking for a replacement for Gustard, and did not appoint a replacement for Teague.
