Peter O’Mahony Has Plenty More To Say About Today’s Interview With Reggie Corrigan

Proud Munster man.

Peter O’Mahony’s tense post-match interview with Reggie Corrigan after today’s inter-provincial clash between Leinster and Munster has been doing the rounds this afternoon, due to some controversial comments from the former Leinster prop.

Corrigan questioned Munster’s effort after the game, and understandable O’Mahony took offence.

“Are you questioning my teammates?” O’Mahony said when provoked in a tense interview.

The Munster captain has since spoken to RTE about the interview, and has had plenty to say.

“I think it’s a silly question,” said the Lions flanker.
Essentially he’s calling myself and my team-mates out, saying we’re not trying hard enough, questioning are we working hard enough and do we want it enough.
I’m a very proud man, a very proud Munster man, a very proud Irish man and that’s a question of the core of everything.
Everything we do in Munster rugby and Irish rugby is based around work-rate and your want to win and how relentless you can be and for someone to question that I’d take huge offence to.

Well said. The interview with Corrigan is below in case you missed it.
