Round 2.
Premiership Rugby returned with an almighty bang this past weekend with Round 2. No game featured less than 35 point scored, with Leicester and Newcastle racking up an incredible 82 points as the Tigers won 49-33.
Once again a number of players stood out, with Danny Cipriani pulling off another incredible pass to snatch a draw for Gloucester, and Manu Tuilagi giving us a glimpse of old with a rampaging try.
Liam Williams bagged a quick fire hat-trick after coming off the bench in Sarries’ win over the Bristol Bears, while Sam Simmonds continued his incredible try-scoring run with two tries against Wasps. But it was his teammate who stole the show.
Henry Slade bagged two tries of his own in the win over Wasps in a stunning display, making him our Gallagher Premiership Player of the Week for Round 2.
