Nasty Facial Injury For Wales International Shows The Dangers Of Artificial Pitches

Ouch.

Dragons player Adam Warren was left with a nasty face injury after scoring a try this past weekend, that shows the dangers of 3G artificial pitches in rugby.

Warren, who was capped for Wales back in 2012, scored an excellent try for the Dragons in their 29-13 defeat to Glasgow on Saturday night, but was left with a nasty scar thanks to the Scottish side’s pitch.

As he slid over the line, his face got mashed into the ground – leaving him with some pretty bad burns.

It’s not the first time a Welsh side has felt the after effects of Glasgow’s surface, with a number of Scarlets players complaining they suffered some nasty burns on the surface last season. Some of the player even said the pitch should be ‘illegal’.
