Munster Rugby look set to lose World Rugby U-20s championship star Ben Betts to Champions Cup rivals Leicester.
The Young Munster prop was one of the stars at this year’s championship and the news of his departure will come as a huge shock to Munster fans. The tighthead was apparently not offered an academy deal by the IRFU amid worries he was ‘too small’
The move to the English Premiership side is said to be a ‘done deal’. Interestingly, Leicester have been paired with Munster in this year’s Champions Cup pool stages, for the second year running.
