James Lowe is a man on fire this season. The former Maori All Black has been running absolute riot for Leinster, and the best part is – he does it with a smile on his face.

His performances have left many questioning how the hell New Zealand let him go, but Leinster fans certainly don’t mind as long as he keeps banging tries in for fun.

He bagged another brace last night, including a superb individual effort, and was rightly named man of the match as he terrorised the Wasps defence in Leinster’s 52-3 win.

Lowe and his girlfriend have settled into life in Dublin pretty well over the last 12 months or so, and he’s become an instant fan favourite with the Leinster faithful. But he ran into a bit of bother earlier this week.

“My car got broken into,” Lowe said after yesterday’s game.

“Man, I couldn’t bloody believe it! They didn’t take anything but, man, I don’t know what’s going on – they broke the smallest bloody window and then just ran off.

“If you find them, tell me. The police rung me yesterday and we had a funny chat. I was like, ‘Man, if you do find them, give me 10 minutes with them.’

“But apart from that, it’s been outstanding. Me and my girlfriend have really settled in, we’re enjoying our time here. That’s half of it, you get your life sorted off the field and on the field becomes easy.”
