Is This Baffling EPCR Law Good Or Bad For The Champions & Challenge Cups?

This law had a lot of people scratching their heads yesterday.

The likes of Ospreys and Munster could find themselves playing away semi-finals in the Challenge and Champions Cup respectively as a result of this baffling EPCR law.

The concept behind it is to reward teams that manage to win their away quarter final. Should Munster managed to overcome Toulouse in Thomond Park, and Glasgow get a result at Allianz park, the Scots will get home advantage in the semi-final.

This is despite Munster finishing second in the overall table, beating Glasgow both home and away and the Scottish side finishing sixth in the overall rankings.

The same goes for Welsh side the Ospreys in the Challenge Cup, who despite making history and winning six from six, and securing a bonus-point win in every game, could end up playing an away semi-final should they overcome Stade Francais in the quarter finals.

What do you think? Should the away teams be rewarded for their quarter final heroics, or should the overall seeded team be rewarded?
