Rugby star Jamie Heaslip has popped the question to his long-term partner Sheena O’Buachalla.
Heaslip, who is one of the contenders for the vacant captaincy of the Irish rugby team, proposed to Dublin native O’Buachalla over the Christmas holidays.
The couple started dating in 2010, their relationship briefly fizzled out but they rekindled their romance in 2012 and have been a steady item ever since. In 2014, they bought a house together in south Dublin.
Sheena, a marketing executive, is the daughter of millionaires Oisín and Sharon O’Buachalla, major figures in the car industry.
It is not known when the couple will tie the knot.
