David Pocock’s Wonderfully Humble & Classy Response To Ireland Loss

David Pocock is an absolute legend of the game.

Not only is he one of the most feared back-rows rugby has ever produced, he’s also an absolute gent both on and off the pitch. The Australian, arguably the best player at last year’s Rugby World Cup has become known for his absolutely disgraceful turnover skills.

Following their 27-24 loss their head coach Michael Cheika felt his team were unfairly treated by referee Jerome Garces due to their high penalty count, going as far as saying he will be meeting with World Rugby to discuss the game, but Pocock as usually was wonderfully humble in defeat.

The number eight has played two Test matches in Dublin and has twice been denied victories by late Irish tries and will take a year-long sabbatical from rugby following the Wallabies clash with England on Saturday.

Pocock is taking the year out to recharge and focus on his studies. A giant on and off the pitch, he will be sorely missed.
