Dan Carter & Nigel Owens Have A Proposal To Make The Six Nations More Entertaining

Dan Carter  believes the Six Nations would benefit greatly from the introduction of bonus points.

Carter reckons it would encourage more attacking rugby from competing countries Wales, England, France, Ireland, Italy and Scotland in the northern hemisphere showpiece.

“I definitely think it would be great. We play with them in all our competitions back home, always chasing the four tries to get the bonus point,” the New Zealand outside-half great said in The Times.

“It entices you to not only look for the win … I think it’d be good up here too.”

The world’s best referee Nigel Owens agrees with Carter and reckons the introduction would give the tournament a huge life.

“The tournament would get to another level as the teams would have to score more tries,” he said.

The Six Nations is the only cross-border competition in the professional game that doesn’t have a bonus-point system. It’s time for a change.
