WATCH: Conor Murray Loses The Plot And Drops The F-Bomb At Referee

1-0.

Ireland were undone by Australia this morning in an absolutely bruising encounter in front of 45,000 people at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.

Michael Cheika’s side were very physical throughout the encounter in a ferocious Test match. But the Wallabies made countless errors in the first-half, and Ireland led with 25 minutes to go.

The problem was – Ireland failed to capitalise on these mistakes, while Australia converted the couple of chances they did have, outscoring Ireland by two tries to nil in an 18-9 win.

Australia probably deserved the win overall, but Ireland will be annoyed with themselves as the match was there for the taking.

None however, will be more annoyed than Conor Murray, who completely lost the plot with referee Marius van der Westhuizen in the closing minutes. With Ireland chasing the game and just over five minutes to go, it looked like Ireland were going to secure and set-up a nail-biting finish.

But Murray was adjudged to have knocked-on and the game was all but over then. Murray then lost the cool with the ref, as he felt Australia were killing the ball.

“How long are you going to let them stay there? How long? How long?

“You guys have to f***ing watch.”

The referee wasn’t impressed and awarded a penalty to Australia. Silly stuff to lose it and a step too far, but he had a point.
