Under the knife.
Ireland have been dealt a major blow with the news that Leinster lock Devin Toner will play no further part in this year’s Six Nations.
The giant second-row damaged his ankle in the loss to England last weekend and will now undergo an operation to correct the problem, ruling him out for around two months.
Ireland are already without Ulster lock Iain Henderson for the entire championship, but could have Munster’s Tadhg Beirne back in time for their round 3 clash with Italy on February 24.
Sean O’Brien meanwhile should be ok for tomorrow’s game with Scotland despite missing training today.
