All Blacks winger Julian Savea’s nightmare at Toulon could be about to come to an end, with South African PRO14 franchise the Kings interested in offering him a way out.

The Kings and Toulon recently entered a partnership agreement which will see a close working relationship between them, with a deal for Savea to switch already discussed.

Savea is in the first season of a two-year deal at Toulon and is reported to be earning £850,000 per season – which could prove to be a stumbling block for the Kings. But reports in South Africa suggest negotiations have already started with the winger.

The Kings are even willing to release as many as 20 players in order to free up some budget. Watch this space. The bus could very well be inbound.
