Richard Hibbard was at the wrong end of a nasty punch this past weekend.
The Gloucester hooker was punched clean in the spuds by La Rochelle’s Fijian forward Jone Qovu Nailiko during their Challenge Cup semi-final, and to make matter worse, was accused of simulation by referee Andy Brace.
Thankfully the citing commissioner has since got his hands on the footage, with the Fijian set to face disciplinary action for the attack. Rugby journalist Paul Williams expressed his delight at the citing today, only for Adam Jones to jump in and take the piss out of his old Wales and Lions teammate.
